Pantex Group, Inc. announces the latest AMD K6®-2/300Mhz model with 3DNOW!™ technology available from Pantex Computer, Inc.’s "BiG" system platform.

(Houston, May 21, 1998) Pantex Group, Inc. is adding new model to its product roadmap for 1998. This model feature AMD K6®-2/300MHz processor with 3DNOW!™ technology. Models of Pantex BiG platform are built with the new AMD K6®-2/300 MHz processor, 64MB SDRAM, 7200 RPM Ultra DMA IDE Drive, 128-Bit Riva AGP Graphics board with 4MB, 32X ATAPI CD-ROM Drive, AWE64 Sound Card, Microsoft Windows™ 95 (or Microsoft Windows ™ 98) Operating System. The new model was driven by market demands for more affordable products with the capability to handle the newest developments in latest software and multimedia applications. This new model uses Socket 7-type motherboard and can be upgraded to faster processors as they become available.

This model is produced at Pantex Group’s 40,000 square foot facility in Houston, Texas. In addition to this model Pantex Group, Inc. also offer other standard models and custom-configured systems available from Amera Computer, Inc.’s Education/Government product catalog and from Pantex Computer Inc.’s BiG System platform.
