How to Upgrade BIOS
For 8500TAC, 8500TUC, 8500TUR, and 8500TVX
- Unzip the downloaded file by typing the file name (it's self-extracted).
- Copy BIOS file to A drive & rename it to amiboot.rom.
- Turn off computer.
- Turn on computer while pressing Ctrl and Home keys.
- Release the keys after 3 seconds.
- Wait until you hear beeps
- Remove the disk.
- Computer will re-boot automatically.
- Confirm for the BIOS date on the boot-up screen.
For Others
- Your BIOS chip must be Flash ROM. Do not upgrade it if you are not sure.
- Flash writing program can't write to EPROM chip but will erase the chip.
- Unzip the downloaded file by typing the file name (it's self-extracted).
- Use Flash Memory Writer program provided with the system.
- Or download the program - Make sure to download a correct program for your motherboard.
